GAINESVILLE - A para-pro at Sugar Hill Elementary in Hall County has been suspended after her arrest on drug charges in Jackson County.
Jackson County authorities said Kelly Michelle Funderburk was arrested on April 8 on charges of possession of marijuana, theft by receiving and possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell. She was also placed under a hold by Cornelia police.
Funderburk was suspended after a parent alerted the school principal of the arrest. Funderburk had been employed at Sugar Hill Elementary since March 2006.
