More stormy weather expected today in Ga.

By The Associated Press
ATLANTA - Another large weather disturbance could produce a round of severe weather across Georgia today and tonight.

The National Weather Service office in Peachtree City says the strongest storms are expected in central and south Georgia.

Isolated tornadoes are possible south of a line from LaGrange to Forsyth to Louisville. Forecasters said the storms likely will contain strong winds that could uproot trees and down power lines.

Heavy rains with some thunderstorms are likely in north Georgia where a wind advisory is in effect. At mid-morning Monday, winds were gusting to near 30 m.p.h. at the Gainesville airport with sustained winds of around 20 m.p.h. and reports were beginning to come of trees down in the Gainesville area.

Another round of violent weather is expected Monday evening across Georgia.
Residents are urged to stay abreast of rapidly changing weather conditions.
