TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A Florida State wide receiver accused of driving drunk is the latest Seminole at that position to get in trouble.
Police spokesman David McCranie says senior Rod Owens was arrested in Tallahassee on a DUI charge after blowing nearly double the state's legal standard of .08 on a breathalyzer early Sunday. The 22-year-old from Jacksonville was released from jail later that day.
Owens didn't immediately return a message left for him with the athletic department, and a home listing couldn't be found.
A Florida State spokesman says coaches are meeting Monday and didn't immediately have a comment.
Five other Seminole receivers were suspended for a game in November after a campus brawl. Receiver Preston Parker was kicked off the team in February after multiple arrests.
