UNDATED - The National Weather Service (NWS) warns of the potential for more falling trees today because of strong, gusty winds expected across most of Georgia.
The NWS has issued a wind advisory for north and most of central Georgia for today for for winds of 15-25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. The weather service says with the ground saturated from recent rains... these windy conditions could cause a few trees and power lines to fall.
A tree crashed onto the roof of a house in Lawrenceville last night and early today a tree fell across Thompson Bridge Road near Tommy Aaron Drive in north Gainesville.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect until 4 PM EDT this afternoon for
north and most of central Georgia... from Harris to Houston to
Treutlen counties and north.
Gusty west to northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected
over this area. With the ground saturated from recent
rains... these windy conditions could cause a few trees and power
lines to fall.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph or
wind gusts of at least 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles.
