GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville family was robbed in their Otilla Drive apartment in the early morning hours Wednesday.

Gainesville police said officers arrived at the Lake Forrest Apartments at 1360 Otilla Drive just after 1:30 a.m. in response to a call from Cassandra Demory, 31. She told officers that she and Gary Williams, 31, and their 13-year-old child were awakened by two unknown men in the apartment. She also said the two were brandishing firearms and demanding property. In addition, she reported that the robbers pointed their weapons at the 13-year-old before taking cell phones and cash from the apartment.

Gainesville Police Sgt. Johnny Ray described the suspects as black males, both approximately six feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds wearing dark clothing with their hair in dread lock style.

Sgt. Ray said there has been no motive established for the robbery. He said no one was hurt.
