Job fair next week for healthcare jobs at new prison

GAINESVILLE - Corrections Corporation of America, (CCA) the operator of the new North Georgia Detention Center - which will be located in Gainesville - will hold a Healthcare Career Fair on Wednesday, March 25, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Georgia Department of Labor Gainesville Career Center at 2756 Atlanta Highway.

CCA is seeking applicants to immediately fill up to 14 healthcare positions at the new detention center, which is scheduled to open as early as the end of April. The variety of openings includes:

·Registered Nurse
·Licensed Practical Nurse
·Health Services Administrator
·Contract Dental Assistant
·Contract Dentist
·Contract Psychiatrist
·Contract Physician

The CCA Healthcare Career Fair is being hosted jointly by CCA and by the Georgia Department of Labor Gainesville Career Center. During the career fair, CCA representatives will interview candidates and provide detailed information about the company's benefits package, as well as explain the professional opportunities available at the North Georgia facility.

The North Georgia Detention Center, which will be CCA's fifth facility in Georgia, has a 500-bed capacity for male Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainees. It will belocated on Main Street in the complex that was home to the Hall County Detention Center before a new county jail was opened several months ago.
