GAINESVILLE - Friday was the final day for early and advance voting in Gainesville for next Tuesday's SPLOST referendum with about 2,000 votes cast.<br />

All of the Hall County's polling places will be open Tuesday for those who have not already cast a ballot.<br />

By mid-afternoon, the number who had voted since early February totaled 1,658. That's out of 86,260 registered voters, according to officials with the county elections office.
