UNDATED - Union County jumped out to a quick 26-8 lead in the first quarter and then cruised to a 57-27 win over Dawson County Friday night in Region 8-AA play.
Dawson County cut the lead to 33-17 by halftime but Union County used a 16-3 third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Candice Williams led the Lady Panthers with 31 points.
Freshman Morgan Huber and sophomore Cheyenne Bennett led Dawson with six points each.
The Union County defense set the tone early forcing Dawson County into numerous turnovers.
