SUWANEE - Weslyan opened with a 25-10 first quarter and Flowery Branch never recovered in a 65-35 loss for the Falcons in the first-round of the Jared Cook Holiday Classic at North Gwinnett High School Monday night.
The Falcons (3-3) trailed 42-19 at halftime as Wesleyan made 11 3-pointers for the game.
Ishmael Hollis had another solid game for Flowery Branch with 22 points. Zach Barrett added nine points for the Falcons.
Flowery Branch next will play at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday against the loser of the Berkmar/North Gwinnett game at North Gwinnett High School.
