Two arrested in Burns Drive burglary

GAINESVILLE - Police have arrested two brothers in a December 11 burglary on Burns Drive in the city.

Police Lt. Carol Martin says Emmanual Jaquise Bailey, 23, and Brian LaShaun Bailey, 23, have been charged with burglary and aggravated assault in connection with the break-in.

The homeowner of the Burns Drive residence surprised the two as they were allegedly burglarizing the home and was able to supply officers with an auto tag number.

In addition, Gainesville investigators charged Emmanuel Bailey with theft by receiving for two entering autos on Wilshire Road on December 14 and theft by receiving motor vehicle on Park Street on November 28.

Also, Brian Bailey has been charged with one entering auto and motor vehicle theft on December 20 near Woodland Way and Woodlawn Court.
