CLEVELAND - The Dawson County boys basketball team rebounded from its first loss of the season with a 54-51, come-from-behind win over White County Saturday night.
The Tigers (8-1) used a 21-13 second quarter to grab the lead and then held on in the second half.
Stephen Scaife poured in 19 points to pace Dawson County. Jacob Evans scored 14 points and Tyler Dominy had 11 for the Tigers.
Luke Crumley led White County (3-2) with 19 points. Tyler Dotson, Ashely Lowery and Andrew London all scored nine points for the Warriors, who have dropped two straight since opening the season with three consecutive wins. Dawson County held the Warriors' Cole Seagraves to just three points on the night.
Dawson County next will travel to Walnut Grove in a Region 8-AA game Tuesday while White County also will play Tuesday with a road game at West Forsyth in Region 7-AAA action.
