Remains found in Suwanee identified

LAWRENCEVILLE - Authorities say remains discovered Thursday in Suwanee are those of a missing Lawrenceville man.

Gwinnett Police say they do not know yet how 49-year-old Wesley T. McMurry died. McMurry was reported missing in March 2009. The remains were identified using dental records and ID found at the scene.

The remains were discovered a short distance off Old Peachtree Road near Lawrenceville Suwanee Road in an unincorporated area of Suwanee in Gwinnett County.

A worker with a demolition crew was in the process of removing an abandoned mobile home when he uncovered what appeared to be skeletal remains underneath.

An investigation into the case is underway.
