Flood warnings for Suwanee Creek, Middle Oconee River

A Flood warning continues for the Suwanee Creek near Suwanee until Thursday afternoon. At 9pm Wednesday, the stage was 7.2 feet, and rising. <br /> <br /> Minor flooding is forecast. Flood stage is 8.0; was forecast to rise to near 8.1 feet by Thursday morning. <br /> <br /> The river will fall below flood stage by late Thursday morning. At 8.0 feet, the flood stage is reached, minor flooding begins; and Suwanee Creek Park begins to flood.<br /> <br /> <br /> The National Weather Service has also issued a flood warning for the Middle Oconee River near Arcade, affecting Barrow and Jackson Counties, until Thursday evening. <br /> <br /> At 3:45am Thursday, the stage was 13.7 feet and rising. Flood stage is 16 feet. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage late this morning and continue to rise to near 16.5 feet by this afternoon. <br /> <br /> The river will fall below flood stage this afternoon.
