GPD warns against illegal parking near City Park tonight

GAINESVILLE - Members of the Gainesville Police Department will be out in force Friday night to assist with security in and around City Park before, during, and after the big playoff game between Gainesville and Flowery Branch High Schools.

The school has hired off-duty GPD officers to assist with pedestrian traffic and to provide security inside the stadium and off-site parking areas at First Baptist and Lakewood Baptist Churches will be monitored by on-duty officers, who will also assist with traffic before and after the game as needed.
