COMMERCE - East Jackson made the most of its first-ever trip the Class A football playoffs Friday night.
Tyler Collins ran for one score and caught a touchdown pass to help lead the Eagles to 27-14 win over Manchester in the first round of the Class AA playoffs.
The Eagles (10-1) will travel to No. 6 Lovett next week in the second round. Lovett clobbered Chattooga 45-7 in its first round game.
East Jackson led 14-0 at halftime and matched a pair of Manchester touchdowns in the second half to preserve the win.
Deon Sewell had an 8-yard TD run for the Eagles and Evan Williamson connected with Collins on a 20-yard TD pass. Michael Stephens added a 1-yard run for the Eagles.
