GAINESVILLE - The first of four hearings this week, on a plan to expand Gainesville's public transportation system, is scheduled Tuesday.
The proposed changes, scheduled to take effect in January, include the reconfiguration of two current Red Rabbit routes and the addition of one new route. The changes would provide service along Atlanta Highway to Gainesville State College, and more direct service to Brenau University, AVITA and the Featherbone Communiversity.
Tuesday's hearing will be at 12:00 at Blackshear Place Library.
Other hearings this week are at 12:00 and 2:30 at Gainesville State College Wednesday and at 5:00 Thursday at the Community Services Center.
If you cannot attend any of the hearings, you can submit written comments in writing to Hall Area Transit General Manager Janice Crow, 687 Main Street Gainesville, Ga. 30501.
