WINDER - Clarke Central scored 34 unanswered points en route to a 55-12 win over Winder-Barrow Friday in a Region 8-AAAA matchup.
The Gladiators jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead but Winder-Barrow cut the lead to 21-6 early in the second quarter. The Bulldoggs had two chances to cut into the lead after stopping Clarke Central but could not find the end zone.
The Gladiators blew the game open with two late second quarter scores to open up a 35-12 halftime lead.
Quarterback Christian Davila had a 30-yard scoring run for the Bulldoggs and Kendrick davis added a 12-yard TD run for Winder-Barrow.
