CLEVELAND - White County Parks and Recreation Director Lou Boestfleisch has resigned and says he was asked to step down.
The board of commissioners, meantime, has asked the YMCA to help them evaluate the operations and help form a plan of action for the department.
White County Commission Chairman Travis Turner said Boestfleisch resigned his position Monday, and at a meeting Tuesday commissioners approved a 90 day agreement with YMCA. Turner said the YMCA will appoint a director to manage the operations.
Contacted at home, Boestfleisch said he was asked to resign and that he "had no idea the county had been working with the YMCA.â
