FLOWERY BRANCH - Conner Shaw accounted for five touchdowns and nearly 300 yards of offense in leading Flowery Branch to a 69-16 thrashing of East Hall Friday in Region 7B-AAA play.
The Falcons (6-2, 3-0 in region) led just 7-2 early in the second quarter when Shaw and the offense got hot. They scored 28 points in the final seven minutes of the second quarter to take a 35-2 lead into halftime.
Shaw finished 12-of-16 passing for 198 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another 101 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Logan Conley caught one TD pass. Imani Cross had two rushing touchdowns and Jeremy Haley added a late rushing touchdown for the Falcons.
Carlos Negron and Jamond Witt each scored late touchdowns for East Hall.
