SUWANEE - Three different players scored touchdowns as Class AAAAA No. 3-ranked North Gwinnett shook off a sluggish first half to pull away for a 24-7 win over Northview Friday in Region 7-AAAA action.
The Bulldogs (7-0, 5-0 in region) led just 10-7 at halftime but the defense clamped down in the second half as C.J. Uzomah and the offense finally got going.
Uzomah rushed for 85 yards and passed another 96 yards, including two touchdowns. Joe James had 52 yards rushing and scored once and Raahmil Brantley and Cordero Dixon each caught touchdown passes.
Jeff Hatley had a 34-yard field goal in the first half for the Bulldogs.
