JEFFERSON - Jackson County fell behind early to Hart County and never recovered in a 42-7 Region 8-AAA loss at home Friday night.
The Panthers (3-2, 0-2 in region) have now lost two straight after open the season with three straight wins.
Hart County (4-1, 2-0) scored the first 28 points and led 28-7 at halftime. Jackson County's only score came on a 1-yard run from quarterback Alex Crawford.
Jackson County managed just 131 total yards against the Bulldogs defense. Micahel Paseresi led the Panthers with 65 yards rushing and caught two passes for six yards.
The Panthers will face another tough Region 8-AAA test next week traveling to Franklin County (3-2, 2-0) which has won three straight games.
