FLOWERY BRANCH - Seven different players scored on offense for Flowery Branch as the Class AAA eighth-ranked Falcons used a 48-point first half en route to a 62-14 win over West Hall Friday night.
The Falcons (5-1, 2-0 in Region 7B-AAA) scored 35 unanswered points to open the game and led 48-7 by halftime behind quarterback Connor Shaw.
The senior tossed one touchdown pass and ran for another. Logan Connelly, Imani Corss, and Darius Kimbrough all scored rushing touchdowns for Flowery Branch.
Robby Beaudreau, Javante Meadows, and Rodney Young each caught touchdown passes. Rodriquez Frazier also had an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown immediately following West Hall's first touchdown.
West Hall (0-6, 0-2) got another solid game from junior quarterback Shunquez Stephens, who threw for 163 yards one touchdown. Marquius Young caught one touchdown pass and ran for another for the Spartans.
However, the Flowery Branch defense never let Stephens get completely untracked sacking him nine times and forcing three turnovers.
