Gainesville tax preparation co. wins appeal

GAINESVILLE - The Georgia Court of Appeals has reversed a Hall County court's decision against a Gainesville tax preparation company that had been prohibited from providing services to former clients of a H&R Block office in town.

H&R Block filed suit against Paramount Tax & Accounting in January 2009, alleging that a former H&R Block employee had contacted its customers on behalf of Paramount. The local court subsequently prohibited Paramount from working for any customer of H&R Blockâ
