Sonic restaurant in Gainesville is closing

GAINESVILLE - The Sonic Restaurant in Gainesville is closing, an apparent victim of the slow economy.

Equipment and supplies were being loaded up this morning. AccessNorthGa.com was told it is one of several Sonics in north Georgia that are being closed because of the current state of the economy but was referred to corporate headquarters for further comment.

However, when we called, we were told the only person authorized to speak about the matter is not in the office today.
