ATHENS -- Junior Matt Cerione, the starting center fielder for Georgia, has been arrested for underage consumption of alcohol.
Under the university's Athletic Association policy, athletes must be suspended for 10 percent of their games if convicted of a first-time alcohol offense. Under that policy, Cerione, who will be 21 on Jan. 4, would miss six games.
Cerione, who hit .263 in 64 games last season, was arrested about 2 a.m. on Saturday.
