BUFORD - A new administration center is planned for the Buford City School System.
Bids on construction of the complex are to be opened Oct. 16, with work on the 16,000-square-foot facility expected to begin by Nov. 1.
Superintendent John Hamby said it's hoped the work will be finished by the end of 2009. About $2.5 million has been budgeted for the project.
The site of the new central office will be on Sawnee Avenue, across from Buford Elementary School. School officials now occupy a 1940s-era building that once housed a school.
