Brenau News Forum founder dies

VALDOSTA - A memorial service is planned Sunday in Valdosta for Felton Davis Jr., of Valdosta, formerly of Gainesville.

Davis, who moved to Gainesville when he retired in 1983 after a 33-year career with Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals, lectured at Brenau University while living here and was the founder and longtime moderator of Brenau News Forum, a weekly public affairs program that was broadcast on the school's radio station, WBCX.

According to the Valdosta Daily Times, Davis died Sunday at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, and while living in Gainesville served on the boards of the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Quinlan Visual Arts Center and Citizens Bank (now Bank of America).
