Auto company moves HQ to Georgia

By The Associated Press
DULUTH - One of the world's largest automobile retail companies is moving its headquarters to Georgia.

Asbury Automotive Group will put an office with 70 employees in Duluth. The office will be in the building of its metro Atlanta brand group, Nalley Automotive Group. Asbury's headquarters will remain in New York and Connecticut.

The move should reduce personnel expenses by 20 percent. The restructuring plan will result in $5.5 million in pretax expenses.

The Fortune 500 company owns 13 Atlanta-area dealerships and 121 nationwide.
