Lookout in White County after 911 operator is killed

CLEVELAND - A White County 911 operator was killed Saturday.

The office of county coroner Ricky Barrett confirms the death of Stephanie Hart, 21, of Toccoa. She was a White County 911 dispatcher who was found dead at her former residence on Lothridge Road in White County.

Barrett said she died of a gunshot wound and the body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta for an autopsy.

A suspect remains at large. Police are reportedly looking for a white Dodge pickup.
