Gainesville resident and powerlifter George Bradley has been named American Powerlifting Committee/IronDawg "Powerlifter of the Month" by the company on its web-site (www.irondawg.com).
Bradley won a national championship and set a world record in the bench press for his age and weight-class at the APC Nationals last month in Norfolk, Va.
Earlier this year, East Hall rising senior Tyler Brown earned the "Powerlifter of the Month" honor. Bradley, Brown, Tim Moon of Gainesville, and R. Garry Glenn of Oakwood are all expected to lift in the state-wide Georgia Games at Marietta High on Saturday, July 19.
All Brown, Glenn and Bradley each won national titles in Norfolk. Brown established world records, and he and Glenn were selected "Best Lifter" in their respective bench press divisions.
