ATLANTA (AP) - Grady Memorial Hospital has moved one step closer to choosing a chief executive officer with the announcement of four finalists on Monday.
Pete Correll, chairman of the Grady Memorial Hospital Foundation, announced the finalists at the organization's board meeting. They are Michael Young, who currently heads the Erie County Medical Center Corporation in Pennsylvania; Michael Butler, who is the interim head of the Louisiana State University's seven-hospital network; Gregory Burfitt, head of Centura health in Englewood, Colo.; and James Burkhart, head of the University of Florida and Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in Florida.
The board could vote on a final choice in two weeks and the new CEO would start working in September.
