Norcross man charged with murdering his girlfriend

NORCROSS - Gwinnett County police have charged a man with murder after finding a woman dead in an apartment complex Sunday morning.

Andres Luis Rodriguez, 39, is in jail. Police arrested him after they said he confessed to killing his girlfriend around 7 a.m. Sunday. The woman's name has not been released. She was found dead at 3000 Lake Colony Drive at Lake Colony Apartments in Norcross. Rodriquez called DeKalb County police from Winter's Chapel Road and wanted to turn himself in, authorities said.

Police have not said how she was killed. Crime scene investigators spent much of the day at the apartment complex.
