Rabies case #25

GAINESVILLE - Another rabies case has been confirmed in Hall County, the 25th of the year.

This one occurred Tuesday in northeast Hall County in the Shockley Road area.

It was in a raccoon that came in contact with a dog. The Georgia Public Health Lab - Virology Section in Decatur confirmed to Gainesville-Hall Animal Control Thursday that it tested positive for rabies.

Another in a series of rabies clinics is scheduled Saturday at the Humane Society of Hall County on Ridge Road from 8:30-12:00.
