Tech, Georgia to play decisive game in regional

ATHENS -- Baseball fans are getting a second dose of the Georgia vs. Georgia Tech rivalry.

An NCAA Super Regional berth will be on the line when Georgia hosts Georgia Tech on Monday night in the decisive game of the Athens regional. Nick Montgomery pitched a complete-game shutout in the Bulldogs' 8-0 win over the Yellow Jackets on Sunday night to force tonight's game.

Georgia Tech won two of the three games between the state rivals in the regular season, so Georgia's win Sunday night left the season series tied at 2-2.

Georgia had to win two games on Sunday to avoid elimination. The Bulldogs crushed Lipscomb 14-3 earlier Sunday.
