Georgia stays alive in NCAA regional

ATHENS, Ga. - Georgia stayed alive in the NCAA regional with two four-run innings in a 14-3 win over Lipscomb on Sunday, and Rich Poythress had the key hit in each inning.

Poythress hit a two-run single as Georgia took a 4-0 lead in the first and added a three-run homer in a four-run fifth, giving him five RBIs.

The Bulldogs, who eliminated Lipscomb, advanced to Sunday night's game against Georgia Tech.

Bryce Massanari hit a two-run homer and Matt Olson had five hits and scored four runs for Georgia (37-22-1). The Bulldogs had 21 hits, the most allowed by Lipscomb (33-30) this season.
