Report: Georgia lineman Boling arrested for DUI

By Staff reports
According to numerous published reports, University of Georgia offensive lineman Clint Boling was arrested for driving under the influence in Alpharetta on May 14.

Boling was pulled over on Ga. 120 around 1:30 a.m., according to police reports. He refused to take a breathalyzer.

It is Georgia's athletic department's policy that any athlete involved in an alcohol-related arrest must miss 10 percent of the following season -- which means Boling would at least have to sit out the Bulldogs' opener against Georgia Southern on August 30 in Athens.

Boling was expected to open the season as a starter at left guard after a stellar freshman campaign in which he played in 12 games and was named to the All-SEC Freshman team.
