Georgia and Georgia Tech begin play tomorrow in regional golf tournaments as they try to advance to the NCAA championships later this month.
The Yellow Jackets will tee off in Columbus, Ohio, against a field that includes top-ranked Alabama and fifth-ranked Oklahoma State. Tech is seeded third in the central region.
The Bulldogs are seeded first in the eastern region, which will be contested in Chattanooga, Tenn. South Carolina, Duke, Auburn and Michigan State are among the teams competing in the region.
There are 27 teams playing in each region, and the top 10 will advance to the championships in West Lafayette, Ind.
