GAINESVILLE - The Public Defender Selection Committee of the Northeastern Judicial Circuit has reappointed Brad Morris to a full, four-year term ending in 2012.
Morris was named to the post when the office was created by the state legislature several years ago. The circuit serves Hall and Dawson counties.
"The members of the committee obviously believe that it is important to give some continuity to the office and to stabilize its leadership for the foreseeable future now that the early kinks have been worked out of the system," said J. Douglas Stewart, committee chairman.
"Also, the action approves the excellent work done by our public defender's office which, according to our best information, is being recognized as one of the outstanding operations in the state."
