ATLANTA -- Jason Haniger had five RBIs and Tony Plagman drove in three runs to lead Georgia Tech to a 12-1 win over Wake Forest on Friday night.
David Duncan (5-2) allowed one run, six hits and struck out seven in eight innings for the Yellow Jackets (30-12, 11-11 Atlantic Coast Conference). Georgia Tech jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning when Haniger hit a two-run homer. He finished the day 3-for-4.
The Demon Deacons (16-26, 5-14) scored a run in the fourth on Dustin Hood's solo home run. But the Yellow Jackets scored eight runs over the next five innings, highlighted by Brad Feltes and Plagman's solo homers in the fifth and a three-run homer by Haniger in the seventh.
Garrett Bullock (3-5) gave up seven runs, seven hits and five walks in six innings for Wake Forest.
