Baseball: Trojans take over fourth place in 7-AAA (4/18)

CLEVELAND - The North Hall baseball team moved into sole possession of fourth place in Region 7-AAA after taking a 4-1 win over White County Friday night.

The Trojans (13-7, 10-6 in region) now lead both White County and (11-9, 9-7) and West Forsyth (10-9, 9-7) by one game with five games left in the regular season. North Hall and West Forsyth meet in Cumming in the regular season finale in two weeks.

Davis Partrick (2-2)earned the win for North Hall striking out one and walking none while giving up six hits and one unearned run. Josh Wright recorded his second save of the season getting out of a bases loaded jam in the fifth and holding the Warriors the rest of the way.

Lou Crumley took the loss for White County.

The Trojans led 4-0 by the end of the fourth inning. In the second inning Taylor Daniels singled and scored on a Partrick double. In the third, senior Josh Haymore doubled and later scored on a pass ball and Partrick drove in another run getting hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score K.J. McAllister. North hall added another run in the fourth.

White County scored its lone run in the fifth on a RBI single by Crumley.

Haymore had two hits to lead North Hall at the plate. Partrick finished with two RBI, K.J. McAllister had one hits, and Jackson Coker and Graham Duncan both had singles.

The Trojans next will play host to West Hall Monday at Jody Davis Field at 7 p.m.
