BRASELTON - Dawson County swept the boys and girls golf matches with Jackson County Thursday at the Traditions Golf Course.
The Dawson girls beat the Lady Panthers 93-108 behind a 46 from Kasay Holbrook and a 47 from Katie Stowers to improve Dawson to 13-1 on the season.
The Dawson boys held off Jackson County 176-191 paced by a 41 from freshman Wesley Bearden. Senior Taylor Adamson, junior Matt Christopher, and sophomore Cody Palmer each fired a 45 for the Tigers.
"We battled a cold and windy day to pull out the win. It's the type of day you would expect some high scores, Dawson boys coach Van Samples said.
Dawson is idle (Spring Break) until April 14 when it plays host to Flowery Branch and Forsyth Central at Gold Creek Golf Course.
