Artificial turf proposed for The Brickyard

GAINESVILLE - The Hall County School Board listened to a proposal from North Hall High School assistant principal and athletic director Harold Daniels on Monday night about installing synthetic turf on the school's football field.

Daniels cited more field space, reduced game cancellation, reduced cost of upkeep and more uses for the field as positive outcomes of installing the turf. Davis proposed using North Hall as an evaluation tool for possibly installing turf on all six Hall County fields in the future.

The board will vote on the issue in two weeks.
