JASPER - North Hall pounded out a season-high 19 hits, including four home runs, in taking a 15-5, six inning win over Pickens Friday in Region 7-AAA action.
Jordan Pendley picked up his first win of the year for the Trojans (9-3, 6-2 in region) going five innings giving up eight hits and two walks. Taylor Daniels relieved in the sixth to finish the game. Jesse Cantrell took the loss for the Dragons (2-10, 2-6).
Leading 8-5 heading into the sixth, the Trojans put the game away with seven runs. Daniels was hit by a pitch, A.J Allison singled. Pendley and Josh Haymore followed with RBI singles and K.J.McAllister hit a three-run home run, his second of the game. Jake Canipe then singled and Graham Duncan followed with a two-run home run.
North Hall scored in every inning leading 6-2 in the fourth inning. Pickens scored three times in the bottom of the fourth to cut the lead to 6-5 but the Trojans scored twice in the fifth to make it 8-5.
McAllister finished the game 3-for 4 with two home runs and four RBI and scoring two runs. Allison had three hits and Duncan had three hits - two doubles and a home run - and three RBI and scored three runs. Haymore had three hits and two RBI, Josh Wright had two hits, including a home run, Jackson Coker had two hits, and Canipe, Daniels, and Pendley each had one hits.
Devin Mosley led the Dragons with two hits, one RBI, and scored two runs.
The Trojans next will play host to Johnson on Monday with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
