MURRAYVILLE - The Class AAA third-ranked North Hall girls soccer team remained unbeaten after taking a 5-1 win over West Forsyth Tuesday in Region 7-AAA action.
The game was tight for most of the first half with the score tied 0-0 until the final 12 minutes of the first half.
Allie Wright gave North Hall (7-0-1, 5-0 in region) a 1-0 lead with 11:50 left on a free kick high into the net from 25 yards out. Five minutes later, Ashley Lackey connected with Bradee Burrell, who broke away for the score and a 2-0 lead at the half.
The second half was all Tess Patton. The North Hall freshman scored three goals in five minutes to put the game out of reach.
Two minutes into the second half, Patton weaved through the West Forsyth defense from mid-field and then got her first goal to make it 3-0. Three minutes later, Patton took a pass from Burrell and scored to make it 4-0. Patton scored again two minutes later after a shot from Lackey ricocheted off the crossbar and Patton booted in the rebound to complete the hat trick.
The Lady Wolverines (3-7, 2-5) got on the board with just over eight minutes left when Dawn Sicchitano slipped by the North Hall defense. It is only the second goal allowed this year by the tough Lady Trojan defense.
North Hall held West Forsyth to just two shots on goal for the game while peppering the Lady Wolverines for 35 shots on goal.
