Flat Creek to be subject of meeting next week

GAINESVILLE - The City of Gainesville is hosting a meeting next week on what was once one of the most polluted streams in town.

The focus of the meeting, which is open to the public, is the Flat Creek Watershed Improvement Plan and Ecosystem Restoration Report.

A number of alternatives for watershed improvement will be discussed, along with selected alternatives for stream restoration.

The meeting is Tuesday at 6:30 at the civic center.
