Art gallery established at Gainesville library

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville branch of the Hall County Library has recently taken on a new role: art gallery.

For the past few months, library staff members have been working with the art community in Hall County to establish rotating displays by local artists. All types of art have been featured, from photography to pencil sketches.

On Thursday, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., there will be a reception at the Gainesville Branch to honor the artists who currently have paintings hanging in the library's gallery.

These artists are Ann Alexander, Linda Blount, Cheryl Hardin, Elaine Howard, Jarvis Sims and Nona Stephens.
