ATLANTA - Brad Feltes broke a tie in the eighth inning with an RBI double to lift Georgia Tech to a 5-3 win over Kennesaw State today.
The Yellow Jackets (9-1) took a 3-2 lead in the fourth on a run-scoring single by Feltes, who finished 2-for-4. The Owls (5-7) tied the game at 3 in the eighth when Andrew Martin drove in a run on a single.
But Georgia Tech responded in the same inning, regaining the lead on Feltes' RBI double. Jay Dantzler gave them more cushion, scoring a run off a sacrifice fly.
Andrew Robinson (2-0) picked up the win in relief for the Yellow Jackets, while Chris Hicks earned his third save of the season. Derek Dietrich hit a home run in the second inning for Georgia Tech.
Kennesaw State reliever Justin Edwards (2-1) gave up two runs and three hit in 3 1-3 innings.
