Ohio fugitive arrested in Flowery Branch

FLOWERY BRANCH - The Hall County Sheriff's Office arrested a wanted and convicted sexual predator from Ohio in Flowery Branch on Monday.

Sheriff's Maj. Jeff Strickland said 35-year-old Shawn Dewanne Spigner was previously convicted of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and he failed to register as a sex offender in Ohio in 2006.

"Spigner is described as having violent tendencies and characterized as a violent sexual predator," Strickland said.

He said Spigner was arrested in the 6000 block of Scott Drive off of Old Federal Road and will be returned to Ohio authorities in the near future.
