Lady Jackets top Clemson, 74-58

CLEMSON, S.C. - Jill Ingram scored 20 points and doled out six assists to lead Georgia Tech to a 74-58 win over Clemson in Atlantic Coast Conference action.

The Yellow Jackets (20-7, 6-6 ACC) led by as many as 24 points midway through the second half and held the Lady Tigers (10-17, 3-9) to just one 3-pointer for the game.

Janie Mitchell had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Georgia Tech, which scored 23 points off Clemson turnovers. Iasia Hemingway added 13 points and Chioma Nnamaka went 4-for-9 from 3-point range for 12 points.

The Lady Tigers were led by Christy Brown with 17 points and Lele Hardy with 12 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Clemson forced 23 Yellow Jacket turnovers, but converted those into just 18 points.

Clemson shot just 36 percent from the field a dismal 8 percent from long range compared with Georgia Tech's 38 percent overall and 41 percent from beyond the arc.

The Yellow Jackets went 21-29 from the free throw line while Clemson made just 11 of 21 foul shots.
