Boston College 62, Georgia Tech 53

BOSTON - Carolyn Swords scored 14 points to help Boston College hold off Georgia Tech, 62-53, on Monday night.

Boston College (18-8 overall, 6-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) led 31-26 at halftime and quickly extended the lead to 38-26. Georgia Tech (19-7, 5-6) rallied within one point and had a chance to take the lead, but Chioma Nnamaka missed a 3-point try with 3:26 left and Tech never caught up.

Alex Montgomery tied her career-high with 26 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Yellow Jackets.
